I enjoyed Noelani Jones' lecture. I learned a lot about her process in weaving cloth pieces and spinning and dying her own yarn. One cool thing I had not previously considered was the possibility of weaving with almost anything. Jones said that as long as something can bend, it can weave. I found this philosophy very inspiring, as it opened up many possibilities. I also learned about the existence of art residencies, where people stay somewhere and make art. This was a very cool concept. Overall, I enjoyed the lecture and it made me want to try weaving!
